CCMC forms & PCR No longer required for Nepal travel

According to the directive of the Nepali Department of Immigration, the CCMC forms are no longer required to travel to Nepal from July 28, 2022. The official communication can be located at https://www.immigration.gov.np/post/notice-regarding-ccmc-form-3 The US Center for Disease Control (CDC) has also removed the PCR test requirement that was necessary to enter the United States. PCR tests are also not required for fully vaccinated travelers. Passengers who have not taken the vaccines need a PCR test taken within 72 hours of the flight.

TRAVELING TO NEPAL

  • Complete CCMC online form
  • Proof of vaccination
  • Effective March 10, 2022, PCR
    tests not required
  • Unvaccinated travelers must have negative Covid-19 tests (RTPCR, True NAAT, Gene Xpert) taken within 72hours of travel

TRAVELING FROM NEPAL

As of 12:01 AM ET on June 12, 2022, CDC will no longer require air passengers traveling from Nepal or a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight. Please note the vaccination card needs to be converted to digital document Of Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate from the Ministry of Health and Population so that it is officially accepted for international travel. Failure to do so would result in flight boarding. You can
do the process online at
https://vaccine.mohp.gov.np/ or visit the Teku office for urgent travel. Online process can take 2-3 business days.
